God has a bigger plan for your life than you can imagine. God tells us in Jeremiah 33:3  ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

This is the theme verse for this month: Call out to God and let Him show you great and mighty things about your life and future. Usually, at the beginning of the year, we make New Years’ resolutions that make small changes to our life. The irony is that often our life is going the wrong way, and we feel lost in life. What we really need to do is to figure out the bigger questions first.

The truth is, your life is supposed to affect more than your life: your life, if you will partner with God, will affect many people and future generations. Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

When God looks at you, He doesn’t just see you, but the people your life could impact and how long your impact will last over time. God wants you to make the biggest splash possible with your life through your character, passion, talents, children, finances, and faith.

When you live your life outside of God’s plan and purpose, there is a minimizing of the effect of our life. God doesn’t want us to live small lives. But on the other hand, when we align our life with God’s plan for it, we multiply the effects of our life.

So as we start the New Year, the questions we should be asking ourselves at the beginning of this year is: “What is God speaking over my life?”  And “Where am I with respect to God’s plan for my life?”
